About the Forum

The Hout Bay Tourism Forum (HBTF) was founded in September 2016 by the Hout Bay Partnership.  Its role is to stimulate and promote community-based tourism in Hout Bay, involving the diversity of people and interests in Hout Bay and featuring our cultural heritages and natural attractions.

The Forum has an active membership of around 100 and a steering committee of 17.  We have agreed our position strategy with the strategic goals and we are working on our brand identity and communications strategy.  The key short term goal is to establish tourism routes within Hangberg, Harbour and Imizamo Yethu, to encourage tourists to stay much longer by meeting local storytellers, sharing cultural experiences, visiting interesting places and enjoying our seafood prepared in the traditional http://www.achaten-suisse.com/ way.  We will have these routes established before the end of 2017 and they will form the core of our marketing.
